Right vs. Left. Dem vs. Rep. Progressive vs. Conservative. It's all baloney...

In response to an article on Blogcritics, I whipped out a comment that I thought was woirth reposting here at Delibernbation with a few edits...

And just who was stupid about the Economy, Mr. Clinton?

Over at Blogcritics.org there's an article by Glen Boyd in the Politics section titled The Obama Disappointment.  It's an interesting read which has sparked a lively discussion which I hope you'll check out.  In the meantime, I made a comment that I felt was worth repeating over here at Delibernation.  So, without further adieu...

Health Care - Main Street is out of touch with Washington.

Like elves rushing to meet the Christmas Eve deadline, the United States Senate met on a snowy day in our nation’s Capitol and overcame the hurdle of pushing health care reform forward. Anyone remotely familiar with the machinations of Washington politics knows that two inches of snow on the ground virtually paralyzes the District. Yet this weekend, under a heavy blanket of new winter snow, the 100 sitting members of the Senate debated a bill which all knew would pass along party lines.

Natural Law & God's Law -- One in the Same?

In an interesting discussion at Blogcritics, I posted a comment to a thread which I want to share here.  It has been modifed from the original comment.

Ted Kennedy's Irish Wake - The Conservatives' De Profundis

Here I sit on the eve of Ted Kennedy’s funeral having watched the telecast of the Irish Wake held tonight at the JFK Library.  The one thing that keeps haunting me about these three days is the circle which has been completed.  Imagine the profundity of these moments – symbolic, ironic, and culminating.  Look back to 1959, when young Senator Jack Kennedy was rising as a political star.  Imagine the first Roman Catholic President elected in 1960.  Many of you don’t know or understand.  Roman Catholics weren’t exactly liked outside New York and New England.&nbsp

Before you go, Teddy, Thank You.

The One Issue Neither Candidate Has Brought Up

These last couple of weeks I, along with the rest of the world, have been closely monitoring this financial collapse and as a sidebar I’ve been watching how it relates to this Presidential election cycle. My view of this race has been completely schizophrenic this year. I am certain many others out there share my confusion.
